I think the main reason the Starcraft Remake turned out as good as it did was because that game is second only to a religion in the S. It's not a fun time if you're a Warcraft RTS fan, along with getting a busted version of a game that now has a whole slew of issues that never existed in the original release, there are other mechanical and gameplayu issues that will never be addressed. I'm only partial to the Diablo and Overwatch IP's, but I felt bad for the classic Warcraft fans (specifically the ones who adore the RTS games and not the MMO) that had what is basically one of the crown jewels of the RTS genre get turn to dust (on top of the custom game scene being turned away with the changes to the TOS and how Blizzard basically owns ANYTHING the community cooks up). In a nutshell, the series is about humanity tying to survive from forces beyond their understanding, and that was thrown out when Diablo III/Immortal made the game into a power fantasy (among the other issues that I have with Diablo III's narrative, gameplay mechanics, and loot system). No paragon heroes or any of the stock tropes and ideals from the high fantasy genre. And given that Diablo IV is far from complete, I can't trust them getting it right when they keep harping "Gothic Horror" & "Blood, gore, n' guts" but not realizing that the Diablo series is about regular ass humans that are sandwich'd between an enteral war between the forces of the burning hell's and high heavens. I can only speak for myself, but I never got the impression that the current Diablo crew 'get' what made the first two games a hit.
